Petit Planet Daily Routine: What to Do Every Day

A fixed daily routine keeps Luca, Dough, and Bond Levels moving without turning the game into a chore. This page orders the tasks by the return they give for your time, with the reset details that are actually confirmed.

What actually resets each day

Petit Planet runs on a daily tick rather than a real-time one, and the list of things that refresh on that tick is short enough to memorise. The server reset time was not published during the Final Beta, so treat the reset as "when the game says the day changed" rather than a clock hour.

Resets dailyDetail
Star Anchor ticketsThree per day after the first day's five
CommissionsThree per day once the app reaches level 2
Soil mounds and ore pilesFour mounds and six ore piles after Arbor level 5
Loomi TV stockRotates; bookmarked items are kept
Market pricesCrop prices move between days
Footprints tasksDaily set refreshes, paying Loomi
Recipe masteryFive points per recipe become available again
Tree Inspo CardsTwo per day

Crops are the exception worth calling out: they do not "reset", they advance. A watered crop moves closer to harvest on each daily tick, so the first thing you do each day is also what keeps the farm moving.

The highest-return tasks, in order

If you only have fifteen minutes, do these four in this order. They cover the resources that block everything else.

  1. Water and harvest. Every crop tile is 2 Strength and every skipped day is a quality loss. This is also where your cooking ingredients come from.
  2. Three Commissions. The most reliable Dough in the game and the reason story furniture requests do not stall. Cooking the requested dish before delivery improves the rating.
  3. The shop lap. The Loomi TV order screen sells a Star Anchor ticket and seeds on some days, and a friend's shop can list a galaxy blind box for around 50 Dough with a chance at themed furniture. Missing the ticket is the one daily purchase you cannot make up later.
  4. The mound lap. After Arbor 5, four mounds and six ore piles refresh daily and feed Neighbor furniture. It is a two-minute walk for materials you cannot buy.

How many Commissions to accept

Three, and the cap is a function of the Commissions app rather than of your time. The app reaches level 2 on the third day of the test pace, which is when the third slot opens. Before that you simply have fewer.

Deliver cooked food rather than raw ingredients where the order allows it — community guides are consistent that a prepared dish earns a better rating. If an order asks for a crop you do not have, it is fine to let it expire; the slot refills the next day.

Which Neighbor interactions to do daily

Neighbors are the slowest-moving progression track, so the daily touches matter more than the big gestures. Each of these earns a little Dough or Bond progress and takes seconds:

  • Talk. Neighbors around the bay have new lines each day and sometimes offer a small event.
  • Give a gift. Even a liked rather than loved item moves the Bond Level; the daily gift is the cheapest long-term investment in the game.
  • Travel together. Taking a Neighbor on a voyage both raises the bond and applies their gathering specialty to the trip.
  • Finish their events. Neighbor events occasionally appear as small tasks and pay Dough on completion.

Two gifts per day is a common test-era task target, and gifting is also how Puffballs and Bond milestones accumulate. The gift guide has the cheapest loved items.

What to skip when time is short

The game is deliberately forgiving, and most "optional" systems are genuinely optional for a day:

  • Decoration and photos. Nothing in the economy depends on them. Skip freely.
  • Bug catching and fishing for collection. Two Strength per attempt is the most expensive way to spend a short session; do these on days when you have a full bar.
  • Voyages. A trip that ends early wastes a Star Anchor, so a rushed voyage is worse than no voyage. Save it for a session with a cooked stack in the bag.
  • Market selling. Prices move daily but they do not collapse; holding a harvest one day costs little.

What you should not skip, even on a bad day: watering, the three Commissions, and the TV ticket. Those three are the entire compounding engine of the early game.

Are there weekly or seasonal tasks?

Seasonal content exists — weather cycles, seasonal flowers, and seasonal species in the catch pool — but a separate weekly task board on top of the daily Footprints list was not documented in the Final Beta. Seasonal flower availability was described as limited to its season, so the seasonal pressure is on the collection rather than on a checklist.

If a launch build adds a weekly layer, the sensible assumption is that it will hang off the Footprints tab alongside the daily set. This page will be updated when that is confirmed, not guessed at now.

A fifteen-minute routine

  1. Water every plot and pick any ripe fruit (2 Strength per tile).
  2. Take three Commissions, and cook the dishes they ask for.
  3. Buy the Star Anchor ticket and any seed the shops are offering.
  4. Do the mound and ore-pile lap if Arbor 5 is unlocked.
  5. Talk to every Neighbor at the bay and give two gifts.
  6. Spend whatever Strength is left on the nearest cheap nodes, then log off.

Baseline: Final Beta 0.95 (Starsea Call). Reset contents and caps come from test-period reports; the server reset clock time and any weekly task layer were not published.
